    YERYÜZÜ CLIMATE ACTION FOUNDATION
    NOTICE ON THE PROCESSING AND PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

    1. IDENTITY OF THE DATA CONTROLLER

    Your personal data may be processed by Yeryüzü Climate Action Foundation (Turkish legal name: Yeryüzü İklim Değişikliği ile Mücadele Vakfı; “Yeryüzü Foundation” or “the Foundation”) in its capacity as data controller, within the scope described below, in accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “Law”).

    2. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

    Personal data collected from you may be processed by the Foundation in line with the fundamental principles set out in the Law and under the processing conditions and purposes referred to in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, for purposes including:

    • Planning and implementing the Foundation’s human resources policies and processes
    • Carrying out work by our units so that data subjects can benefit from services offered by the Foundation, and running related business processes
    • Planning and implementing activities needed to present, recommend and promote programmes and services of the Foundation to data subjects
    • Carrying out work by our units needed to perform activities run by the Foundation, and running related business processes
    • Planning and implementing the Foundation’s commercial and/or business strategies
    • Ensuring the legal, technical and commercial security of the Foundation and of persons in a business relationship with the Foundation

    3. PARTIES TO WHOM YOUR PERSONAL DATA MAY BE TRANSFERRED AND PURPOSES OF TRANSFER

    Personal data collected from you may be transferred by the Foundation to our business partners, suppliers, and legally authorised public institutions and private entities, in line with the fundamental principles in the Law and under the processing conditions and purposes referred to in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, for purposes including:

    • Planning and implementing the Foundation’s human resources policies and processes
    • Carrying out work by our units so that data subjects can benefit from services offered by the Foundation, and running related business processes
    • Planning and implementing activities needed to present, recommend and promote programmes and services of the Foundation to data subjects
    • Carrying out work by our units needed to perform activities run by the Foundation, and running related business processes
    • Planning and implementing the Foundation’s commercial and/or business strategies
    • Ensuring the legal, technical and commercial security of the Foundation and of persons in a business relationship with the Foundation

    4. METHOD AND LEGAL BASIS OF COLLECTING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

    Your personal data are collected through various channels for the purpose of carrying out the Foundation’s activities, based on legal grounds including compliance with legislation and Foundation policies. Data collected may be processed and transferred for the purposes stated in this notice within the processing conditions and purposes set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law.

    5. YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT UNDER ARTICLE 11 OF THE LAW

    As a data subject, under Article 11 of the Law you have the following rights:

    • To learn whether your personal data are processed
    • If processed, to request information about such processing
    • To learn the purpose of processing and whether data are used in line with that purpose
    • To know the third parties to whom personal data are transferred, domestically or abroad
    • To request rectification if data are incomplete or inaccurately processed, and to request that third parties who received the data be informed of rectification
    • To request erasure or destruction of personal data where processing is no longer necessary even though it was lawful, and to request that third parties who received the data be informed
    • To object to a result against you arising solely from automated processing
    • To request compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing of your personal data

    You may exercise these rights by completing the Data Subject Application Form available on our website and sending it to the Foundation. Applications will be concluded free of charge as soon as possible and in any event within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of your request; where a separate cost arises, the Foundation reserves the right to charge a fee in line with the tariff to be determined by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board.
