Data security
Card security
Card data are protected using SSL encryption. On pages where you enter card details, you should see a padlock icon in your browser. This indicates a 128-bit SSL certificate (for example, from GlobalSign). During payment, the address bar should change from http to https. With SSL, when the payment process starts, an encrypted channel is established directly between your computer and the bank, independently of our site; information you send through your browser is not visible to Yeryüzü Foundation staff or third parties.
How we protect data
Information you enter when paying by card is handled in systems designed to protect the database. Yeryüzü Foundation undertakes not to disclose sensitive personal data collected from users except where required by law, not to share such information with third parties or institutions without consent, and not to misuse it.
Use of data
General information you provide when making card payments on www.yeryuzuvakfi.org.tr (such as name and surname, e-mail, address, and phone) is used only to make our services more effective—for example, to keep you informed about our activities and to send receipts for donations.
What you can do
In addition to the security measures we apply, you should also take sensible precautions: keep your browser’s security settings high and up to date, use antivirus software where appropriate, and avoid storing passwords or sensitive personal information in plain text on your device.
